SUMMARY 3-finger spread/unspread using a touchpad on a laptop does not zoom on the lock screen. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. While logged in, spread 3 fingers on the touchpad to zoom in. 2. Lock the screen, which leaves the screen zoomed in. 3. Try to zoom out by unspreading 3 fingers on the touchpad. OBSERVED RESULT Unable to change zoom level on lock screen. EXPECTED RESULT Able to change zoom level on lock screen. Can reproduce. Interestingly, [Meta] + [+], [Meta] + [-] and [Meta] + [0] are working.
Hi, seems like that's intentional for security reasons - https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/blob/master/src/input.cpp?ref_type=heads#L455. The question is does it make sense to make an exception for certain touch pad gestures on lock screen. Would be great to have some input from KWin team.
