Created attachment 189456 [details] Screenshot of not helpful warning SUMMARY isoimagewriter displays the pop-up window with a warning (in the attachment). As a one-off isoimagewriter user I have no idea why this happens and what to do about it and the pop-up doesn't tell me. This is even worse with non-english locale because even googling the error message for help isn't effective. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Download an archlinux iso image and it's signature (Downloads/archlinux-2026.02.01-x86_64.iso Downloads/archlinux-2026.02.01-x86_64.iso.sig) 2. Run isoimagewriter and select archlinux-2026.02.01-x86_64.iso 3. Wait OBSERVED RESULT Not actionable warning message displayed EXPECTED RESULT Either no warning or warning with steps on how to make sure isoimagewriter can verify signature. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0 Qt Version: 6.10.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This also happened to my non-technical father when he was thinking about switching to Linux and he gave up so I ran dd for him. I've found this confusing UX being reported on the forums as well. https://discuss.kde.org/t/iso-verification-issues-my-first-steps-are-difficult-and-confusing/40255
