The "red bar" cannot be shaped when hovering over, or near, the two clips attempted linked by a composition (dissolve etc.). Getting it to work required making the timeline window larger, ensuring the tracks were active, and surrounds tracks not locked and restarting the application. Its not enough to just restart the application. I cannot reproduce the error. Seems occur when kdenlive was running for a while, and the window the smaller. Frequently occurs. From a user-perspective, I struggled quite a bit to figure out how to get it to work, as it obstructs the video-creation process somewhat. Asked ChatGPT once, no solution, asked a second time, got some hints and was able to get it to work. I am not sure I understand what you are struggling with. A screenshot or a screen recording would help. If your timeline is very busy and clips are short and many, use the zoom function (Ctrl+mouse-wheel, or dragging the white handles of the scroll bar, or clicking on the zoom icons or using the slider in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen) to zoom in on the area you need to work on. Please let us know whether this works for you.

When adding a composite transition to connect to clips (dissolve, etc.), it is not possible, except after restarting kdenlive and resizing the timeline window etc.. Its not much of an issue for me, but it'd make people new to the application veer off (cant add the compositions; the videos become unworkable -> other applications like the tiktok one etc.). I'll take screenshots the next time I run into the issue. Tends to occur once a week.
