Created attachment 189430 [details] Volume Issue SUMMARY When I set the speakers as the input device and the microphone as the output device, both devices are shown as selected under output after I also select the speakers, which is incorrect. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the audio settings / sound control panel. 2. Set the speakers as the input device and the HyperX microphone as the output device. 3. Then select the speakers again and check the list of output devices. OBSERVED RESULT After selecting the speakers, both the speakers and the HyperX microphone appear as selected under output devices, even though the speakers should only be an input device and the microphone should only be an output device.
Thanks for explaining the steps to reproduce. To clarify, when you say > the speakers should only be an input device and the microphone should only be an output device. This is backwards. Speakers are an output device, a microphone is an input device. I do see in the video that the speakers are listed both under output and input devices, but this is a bug. In the video: To start with - Built-in Audio Analog Stereo is the chosen Output Device (not input) - Both G435 Wireless Gaming Headset Mono and Built-in Audio Analog Device (these are actually outputs) are shown as selected in Input Device Selected G435 Wireless Gaming Headset Mono as Input Device (not output), then HyperX DuoCast Analog Stereo, then Built-in Audio Analog Stereo - both HyperX and Built-in Audio are both selected at this point (bug) Selected G435, then HyperX under input again, only the HyperX is shown as selected.
