SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20260206 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0 Qt Version: 6.10.2 Kernel Version: 6.18.8-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Graphics Processor: llvmpipe ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This strange behaviour is quite new. I update my system every Sunday. About two weeks ago, I was able to send files via Bluetooth from the desktop computer to Android smartphones. Now this does not work anymore. For me, this bug came in very recently. I was able to pair using `bluetoothctl` but no connection is established. It jumps between "connected" and "disconnected". As you can see from the attached video the status in "Bluetooth - System Settings" the "Enabled" slider jumps back and fro.
This looks like it's a problem at a lower level than Plasma's bluetooth configuration, especially since apparently the Bluetooth service's status cannot be correctly read. To start figuring things out, we will need the logs of your bluetooth service. You can get those with `journalctl --unit bluetooth.service`.
Created attachment 189387 [details] Output of journalctl bluetooth.service Thank you very much indeed for addressing my problem so quickly ! I’m also very grateful for your hints about how to get to the bottom of the cause ! You will find the today’s log of the Bluetooth service in the attached file. How did I proceed ? I opened Bluetooth from the task bar in “Status and Notifications” and I enabled Bluetooth with the slider (see screenshot). Let me know if you need more information. Best regards !

Thanks for the logs. Can you also try pairing your device through command line with bluetoothctl? This will give us some additional detail to help figure out what's happening. 1. `sudo systemctl restart bluetooth` 2. `bluetoothctl` 3. `scan on` 4. Write down the MAC for the device: `[bluetooth]# [NEW] Device 88:C9:XXXXXX Device-name 5. `connect <MAC>` 6. `quit` Please reply with your results. Thanks.
Created attachment 189432 [details] Output of journalctl bluetooth.service Thank you for your continued help ! As you can see, I attempted several times. The last time it seemed that the connection would be established, but ultimately it failed. I hope the log contains the details you expect. If not, just let me know what further tests I can do. Best regards !
Created attachment 189437 [details] Output of bluetoothctl I thought you might be interested in the terminal output, too, i.e. what is written on the terminal when I follow your instructions. Hint: At some point, a message flashed up containing “WirePlumber”, but I was not able to read the whole content. At the end of the procedure, the headphones are listed in “Available” but not connected; the system tray keeps on jumping until I disable Bluetooth with the slider. Best regards !
