Greetings, I would like to report an issue regarding the New Text Tool SUMMARY: Krita 6.0.0-beta1 seems to be unable to detect some fonts installed in the system. Yes, I use Adobe Fonts, but I make sure to have the fonts installed in the system so Krita and other programs can access them. One of those fonts for example is Halcom. Previously, I used Krita 5.2.14. and it was able to detect this font correctly. Other programs (example: Microsoft Word) detect the font correctly. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Install font Halcom in the system 2. Open Krita and use the text tool to write anything down 3. Open the Text Properties docker, click to choose the font, cannot find Halcom. (I am unsure why specifically Halcom isn't detected. I have other 'custom' fonts installed too and half of them work correctly, like Orbitron for example.) OBSERVED RESULT: Halcom font is nowhere to be seen in the drop down menu. Writing it down also doesn't work. EXPECTED RESULT: Font Halcom is available in the text properties tool SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 Pro macOS: N/A (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: N/A KDE Plasma Version: N/A KDE Frameworks Version: N/A Qt Version: N/A ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Other missing font examples: Patrick Hand, Arpona Sans, Fira Sans, Eurostile, and many other. I have had these fonts installed for months if not years and there has not been an issue until now. If it also helps, my others specs are: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9600K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz RAM 16,0 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 (6 GB) 64-bit Tablet: XP-Pen Artist 13.3 (NOT PRO) Best Regards.
I cannot reproduce this on Linux with Krita 5.3 (qt5), so I think this might be windows specific. Probably what is going on is that FontConfig is not looking at the right font location on Windows, and we'll need someone on windows to ensure it's looking at the right font location. Dakerdusia, could you see where on your system the fonts are installed (the folder name)? Then we can double check whether that is missing, in the case that only some versions of microsoft windows look in that particular folder.

I think they're in C:\Windows\Fonts I found most of my fonts there, but You're right, Halcom is missing from there. If You check Windows Settings, it shows up there: https://i.imgur.com/jwWIsRp.png I'm beyond confused now as well, perhaps this is an issue on my side, I'm really sorry. However, still, Krita's 5.2.14. version was able to reach wherever the other fonts are. I found a bunch of fonts installed in: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts magically, Halcom isn't there either. According to my search, the missing fonts may be in: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync\plugins\livetype\r Since this is where Adobe Creative Cloud may install some of the fonts when You set them to install in the system. Does Krita 6.0.0beta1 have a pathway there?
