Experienced 2 crashes during face recognition

SUMMARY
digikam closed with a crash during face recognition

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. start digikam
2. start face recognition; I did several passes
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
crash happens, digikam is closed

EXPECTED RESULT
no crash

It's a fatal debug exception from Qt. The crash is almost certainly already fixed by Bug 513760 or a variant thereof.

I agree with Maik. It's probably a duplicate of 513760.

Please try with the 9.0.0 pre-release bundle where fix is applied.

Thanks for quick reply.
Will have a look.
I am not aware that I have HEIF files, though, nor do the crashes, on my system, seem to necessarily happen at the moment of confirming a face.
Today's first crash happened when I was away from my machine, whilst it was running the recognition process.

I'll see if I can get the pre-release verion running at my end.
