SUMMARY

I'm having hard time with precise description and title, so please bear with me and help me refine this report.

The issue exists for me for a very long time, but with each update and comes and goes, sometimes not reproducing at all, sometimes appearing at most inconvenient time.

The core of the issue is that sometimes elements, usually popups and previously launchers/dialogs in games launched with wine (Lutris for example) cause visual layering of the windows mismatch the mouse events. By that I mean: if I'm looking at Firefox window, which looks to be in forefront, click events goes to the window behind it.

Lately I started getting it when I click full screen on YouTube video in Firefox. I can easily tell, because kde panel stays in front of the full screen video and then other window start behaving as described above.

Dialogs/Launchers in Steam sometimes cause that, installers in Lutris (when installing GOG games, that usually has extra dialogs are most likely to cause this behavior).

Usually that happens with said dialogs when I try to change focus, if I don't do anything during the lifecycle of the dialog, e.g. it appears, doing its thing or I click dialog button with a keyboard, that does not happen.

It's hard to reproduce reliably and it's hard to record it, as it's already very messy when it starts happening.

Let me know if that description makes sense or if I should provide more information.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I would assume it's x11 dialogs mostly that cause the desync, so "easiest" way to repoduce would be Install Lutris
2. Try installing any GOG games
3. Whenever there is a installer window and/or dialog try to change focus to something else
4. Complete installation
5. Observe clicks being processed by window behind the visible on screen

OBSERVED RESULT

Clicks are registred by window behind the visible one. For firefox example, kde panel stays on top of the full screen windows/elements

EXPECTED RESULT

Visible and focused window should receive mouse events. KDE panel should not be on top of full screen elements

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 43 KDE
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0
Qt Version: 6.10.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is happening on my Desktop with RX 7900XTX, so might be specific to amdgpu. I don't think I had this on my laptop with Intel graphics, but I usually don't run lutris/wine there.
