Description Ales Seifert 2026-02-05 05:48:58 UTC
Re-arranging or enabling displays and clicking Apply does not save any changes sometimes, button just looks like changes were applied but there is no dialog with timer about keeping the configuration or reverting changes...

Mostly it happens when an attached monitor(s) go to sleep and after waking up one or two of them are either re-arranged at different position against other displays or stays disabled. When I try to arrange them or re-enabling them correctly again and saving the correct positions or state nothing happens after "Apply" button is clicked (button just changes to state as no changes to be saved). When I close the settings window and open it again monitors are still wrongly positioned or disabled as if the re-arrangement has been ignored. It does not happen always so I cannot provide exact steps to reproduce it. It is long term issue, not something recent.

Thanks for the bug report. Please run the following command when the bug happens, and paste the output into this report.

kscreen-doctor -o

Also, can you please attach the output of drm_info, after running it in a terminal, to this report?

You'll need to pipe the output of drm_info into a file ( drm_info > ~/info.txt)

Thanks!
