After plugging in

SUMMARY
When trying to mount external USB hard disk, "Disks & Devices" takes an unusually long amount of time "Checking..." and "Accessing...", then fails with "You are not authorized to mount this device" and it gives me the option to "Mount and open" or "Mount", but after about a minute - it succeeds in mounting the drive, with the "You are not authorized" error still showing.

If I try to "Mount without verifying" or mount from the command line with "udisksctl mount" - it works quickly (about 6 seconds) and without issue.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect USB external drive
2. "Mount and Open" or "Check" from "Disks & Devices" widget
3. After a long time see "You are not authorized to mount this device"
4. After some more time see that the drive is mounted, files can be access and it can be "Safely removed"

OBSERVED RESULT
Weird error when drive is mounted. Mounting takes an unusually long amount of time

EXPECTED RESULT
Drive mounted quicker and without errors

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kernel 6.18.7, Arch Linux latest packages available right now
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0
Qt Version: 6.10.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Nothing suspicious shows up when looking at the journal while doing this. Just some regular kernel and udisks logs.

After plugging in, I have 3 mounting options "Mount and Open", "Mount without verifying" and "Check for Errors". After seeing the error, but before the drive is mounted I have 2 - "Mount and Open" and "Mount". After it is mounted - I see "Safely remove" and that seems to work without issues.

Sometimes it starts quickly and without issues, and keeps doing so until I restart the computer.

It is a freshly btrfs formatted drive with "Linux filesystem" partition type. I have tried verifying the disk with "btrfs check" - no errors, tried "Check and Fix" from "KDE partition manager" - no errors. I have tried mounting another external hard disk from a different vendor - same thing happens. I then tried formatting an USB stick with exactly the same commands and that one mounts fast without errors from the first try.

This is a fresh system install, all I have done is install Arch Linux, the "plasma-desktop" package and a few other KDE and non-KDE apps. Then I went through the System Settings, individual app settings and checked the journal to see if there were any issues. I have not edited manually the ~/.config/mimeapps.list file, and there are no "org.kde." or "org.kde.baloo" entries in it.

Let me know if there is anything I can try to debug this.

(pressed enter and it got posted)
More info:
"Check for errors" behaves the same way. It also mounts the partition, not only checks.
"Mount without verifying" behaves similarly to "udisksctl mount", meaning it works and takes about the same time.

Ignore the part about "I have not edited manually the ~/.config/mimeapps.list file, and there are no "org.kde." or "org.kde.baloo" entries in it.", pasted it by mistake and posted the bug accidentally before I could see it.

Tried to connect the same hard disk to an old laptop that has not been updates in a while and it works fine. So looks like a regression happened somewhere along the way. Here are it's specs:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kernel 5.15.60, Manjaro
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.6
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.96.0
Qt Version: 5.15.60
