Journal flooded with "could not assign memory" while the compositor is frozen.

SUMMARY
KWin randomly completely freezes, receives no input, and when you journalctl -b, you see that the logs are flooded with what's on the attached file (shortened version).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

None, it's not manually reproducible.
