Description red_Arti 2026-01-29 13:01:40 UTC
Enhancements to the clip speed adjustment workflow , including timeline stretching for speed adjustment and a default option for "Maintain Pitch."

FEATURE REQUEST 1: Timeline Stretching for Speed Adjustment

Currently, changing a clip's speed requires opening the "Change Speed" dialog and manually entering a percentage. It would be far more intuitive to enable speed adjustment by dragging the start or end of a clip directly on the timeline to stretch or compress its length and dynamically adjust its speed.

FEATURE REQUEST 2: Default "Maintain Pitch" Option for Speed Adjustment

When changing a clip's speed using the "Change Speed" dialog, the "Maintain Pitch" checkbox is not selected by default. This requires users to manually check the box every time they adjust speed.

Please simplify the workflow, for example provide a setting in Preferences to let the user decide whether "Maintain Pitch" should be selected by default for all speed adjustments.
