Since my last global update (updating Dolphin to version 25.12.1), i've been experiencing issues because of the new selection effects (PR 946). *** SUMMARY When clicking a folder, the highlighting box changes colours/brightness rapidly (focus, hover, selection and click). Because the last state of the effect (on click) is displayed for a short period of time and significantly brighter than the others, navigating through files result into multiple flashing lights happening before my eyes. Navigating through files becomes uncompfortable and triggers unpleasent feelings after a wile. I have not seen anyone reporting this but since my medical condition makes flashing lights inadvisable I wanted to change that behavior and was then invited to file a bug report. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Distribution : Debian forky KDE Plasma version : 6.5.4 View mode : detailed Global KDE theme : KDE-Story-Dark-6, Breeze Dark or any other dark theme I could test This problem doesn't occur when in icon or synthetic mode because the highlighting selection boxes are too small to feel like flashing lights Maybe an option could be added to Dolphin's configuration to prevent the "click" state (see https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/-/merge_requests/946) to show up, exclusively for photosensitivity-affected people
