I think it would be much better if KDE developers would focus on making a single video player good enoug or for multiple types of media and subtitles than trying to develop 2. Haruna seems to me to be more advanced and closer to the high quality and popularity VLC. Even though still pretty far behind the Windows-only MPC-HC, as its developer is not too eager or at least willing to fix the bugs that we reported or implement any of the feature requests that we asked for. As a user, I would still try to use Haruna and report bugs for it more and as a KDE developer I would focus more on it. It's also great that it used MPV through LibMPV, which is the closes we can have to great LAVFilters for Linux: https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/issues/143#issuecomment-313604544 At least now I can finally uninstall Dragon in Debian 14 ('testing' repository) without wanting me to uninstall Plasma too. But anyway, these are just my opinions of what I would prefer as a user.
