Description Henning 2026-01-25 16:03:47 UTC
I wanted to make "placeholder" folders with an empty icon 1*1px, transparent. I created the image in GIMP and saved as JXL file. At that size PNG might make more sense, but JXL may have caused the crash.

I created a directory and added it to the "places" sidebar. Then I edited the entry, replaced the text with " " and for the icon opened the filechooser and selected that icon.

Then dolphin became gray, the entire system quickly became unresponsive and I needed to force shutdown after a while. I dont think that journalctl has anything relevant but for sure a lot of personal data, so I can send it on demand.
