SUMMARY

One can quickly toggle the statusbar with F3. The statusbar is quiet important as it offers to show/hide the sidebar, previews etc. 

Once hidden and the shortcut is unknown to the user, it's a bit hard to get it back.
It'd convenient to toggle the visibility under the View option in the menu.i
