SUMMARY When using the scroll wheel to scroll fast over a document, there is severe stuttering (to the point of freezing) to the application. When dragging the document at the same or faster speeds with a mouse there is no such stuttering. When scrolling with a touch pad (KDE connect remote input) there was also no such stuttering. The stuttering is not followed or caused by abnormally high CPU/GPU or disk usage. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Scroll as fast as you can with a scroll wheel OBSERVED RESULT Document of any kind stutters or freezes EXPECTED RESULT Smooth scrolling experience SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0 Qt Version: 6.10.1 Kernel Version: 6.18.6-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (15.5 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This has been an issue for a long time; ie I can't recall of a release where this didn't exist. Free-spinning scroll wheels are affected the most by this issue for obvious reasons. Touch pads seem to be unaffected, but I could only test with KDE connect, so take it with a grain of salt. I can attach a screen recording of the stuttering if requested.
