I have trouble with pictures overlays functionnality STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1.dans la barre de menu "Affichage" 2. La fonction "Afficher les images de superpostion" (Raccourci clavier Ctrl+Maj+O) OBSERVED RESULT aucun effet visible. EXPECTED RESULT Je pensais que cette fonction commandait l'affichage pour les éléments suivants: 1- images stockées dans le dossier ~/.var/app/org.kde.kstars/data/kstars/imageOverlays/ 2- images issues de la fonction "overlays" du Fits Viewer : quand on effectue la commande depuis fitsViewer, l'image s'affiche mais il n'y a aucun moyen de la supprimer après.... EXPECTED RESULT I thought this function controlled the display for the following: 1- images stored in folder ~/.var/app/org.kde.kstars/data/kstars/imageOverlays/ 2- images from the "overlays" function of the Fits Viewer: when you place the order from fitsViewer, the image is displayed but there is no way to delete it afterwards...
Thanks for your feedback, and I'm glad you enjoy using KStars! Using image overlays is more complex than simply putting the images in a folder. Please see the KStars handbook image overlays doc, here's a link to the English page: https://kstars-docs.kde.org/en/user_manual/imageOverlays.html The bottom line is that after you put the images in the dir, you start kstars and then need to plate solve them all. It is semi-automated, but not automatic. Without accurate plate solving, the system doesn't know where exactly they should be placed in the sky, and the proper orientation of the image. Once done, though, the plate solves are "remembered" for future sessions. The doc should walk you through the process. Re the FITS Viewer overlays, yes, I believe they are permanent for the current KStars session, but do not re-appear in your next KStars session. Hy
Ok . Thanks for answer. I did a try with a fit files that has been plate solved before. In the configuration screen , this file is statued as ok . I don't understand why it doesn't appears in kstar chart
