SUMMARY On a freshly installed openSUSE Leap 16 machine I intend to use lightdm as default display-manager and lightdm-kde-greeter as the default greeter. Enabling the kde-greeter works, but it fails to connect to a WIFI because the lightdm-kde-greeter-wifikeeper service file contains the wrong path for the ExecStart command: ExecStart=/lightdm-kde-greeter-wifikeeper Since the actual binary is in /usr/bin/lightdm-kde-greeter-wifikeeper, it's a reasonable error message. For some reason it seems like this variable @LIBEXEC_INSTALL_DIR@ isn't properly set (https://github.com/KDE/lightdm-kde-greeter/blob/7db46015c558ac6b85849b71fe62621b756e8e39/greeter/lightdm-kde-greeter-wifikeeper.service.in#L6) As a workaround, I can set the correct path in the service file (/usr/lib/systemd/user/ligthdm-kde-greeter-wifikeeper.service) and then I can successfully connect to a WIFI within the greeter before the actual user login. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install lightdm and lightdm-kde-greeter, configure it as default. 2. Before logging in, try to connect to a WIFI. 3. WIFI is not connected. OBSERVED RESULT Despite providing correct password, a WIFI connection is not established. EXPECTED RESULT Connecting to a WIFI in the greeter screen should succeed.
