SUMMARY In the KDE Discuss forum a few members, me included, have indicated that, a "nice to have" would be that KInfoCenter and "kinfo" also display the installed KDE Gear version. https://discuss.kde.org/t/kde-gear-version-how-to-determine-without-inspecting-at-the-packages-change-log/43490 SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS > kinfo Operating System: openSUSE Leap 16.0 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0 Qt Version: 6.10.1 Kernel Version: 6.12.0-160000.8-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 8600G w/ Radeon 760M Graphics Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (30.5 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics > ADDITIONAL INFORMATION As noted in the Forum Post, we know that the KDE Gear version is displayed when the "--version" option is used when calling any KDE Gear application from a CLI.
I would like to see this added as well
There is no concept of "the installed KDE Gear version". KDE Gear applications are independent applications whose installed versions don't have to coincide. The applications report *their* version number, not the "KDE Gear" version number
