Description Barade 2026-01-17 12:31:11 UTC
SUMMARY
It would be nice to see marked faces from meta data.
For example, if you use digikam to mark faces with regions in the image it could highlight the marked and show the names as tooltips.
This could be enabled/disabled via some option.
Otherwise, it is pretty useless to mark the faces and then open the images with Gwenview.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Mark some faces in the image with digikam or another tool which saves it in the XMP meta data.
2. Open the image in Gwenview.

OBSERVED RESULT
The meta data is shown but no marked regions in the image with person names etc.

EXPECTED RESULT
The marked region should be highlighted with borders and a tooltip of the name should be shown.
