There's nothing that should be causing this issue.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have a notebook with the lid closed (set to lock when the lid gets closed) with a external monitor via HDMI and.
2. Disconnect, then connect the AC cable.

OBSERVED RESULT
The session is locked.

EXPECTED RESULT
Nothing should happen whenever the AC cable is disconnected while using a external monitor.

I can reproduce this on Plasma built from git-master
journalctl correctly shows no lid events, when the lid has stayed closed while unplugged and replugging the AC cord

Powerdevil shows this, which proves it is switching power profiles as expected (AC - battery - AC). This was from the AC profile being activated.
