What is a "pinned widget"

it is a popup with the pin icon like systray or calendar?
Comment 2 Fernando Marcelino Muniz 2026-01-20 18:21:51 UTC
It's any widget on the panel that has an icon on the top-right corner that looks like a pin, that included the Application Launcher.
Click on that icon, them open anything on the Desktop that would cause a window to appear.
Close the window and press Del to delete the item.

You might notice that the focus is not returning to the item.
The pinned widget of choice seems to be stealing focus from the Desktop item.

According to a dev, the focus should return to Desktop items.
