STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have a notebook connected to a external HDMI monitor+keyboard+mouse. 2. Have the notebook lid closed. 3. End user session. OBSERVED RESULT It suspends the system if you're using a external HDMI monitor with the lid closed. EXPECTED RESULT It should do what I clicked to do, nothing more. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: CachyOS Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0 Qt Version: 6.10.1 Kernel Version: 6.18.5-2-cachyos (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-11300H @ 3.10GHz Memory: 9 GB of RAM (8.1 GB usable) Graphics Processor 1: Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics Graphics Processor 2: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 82MG System Version: IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6
I am not able to reproduce this on Plasma built from git-mater In Power Management settings for the On AC power profile, "on lid close" was set to "Do nothing" After logging off, the HDMI monitor went blank, but displayed the login screen when I moved the mouse After logging in, I verified through system logs that the system did not sleep / suspend after the system reached the "Exit the Session" target We'll need more information to be able to determine what's happening. Can you share - A screenshot of the Power Management settings for the relevant power profile - System logs for the time just before you close the laptop lid and just after you log in Thanks
The bug is not happening now.
