SUMMARY When opening digiKam, performing any operation, and closing it again, the "Advanced digital photo management application" process stays running. It keeps on using the CPU (about 12% on my machine) and consumes about 600 MB of memory. The process keeps running indefinitely until manually terminated. When opening and closing digiKam again, another process opens and stays active, also using system resources. The processes continue to accumulate until all system resources are used up by them. The "ExifTool Perl launcher" Prozess also accumulates this way, although not using as many resources STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open digiKam 2. Perform any action 3. Close digiKam OBSERVED RESULT "Advanced digital photo management application" process stays active in taskmanager, using up resources EXPECTED RESULT "Advanced digital photo management application" process closes with the main digiKam Window.
