Created attachment 188474 [details] Screen recording (animated WebP) showing low-contrast menu bar caused by mismatched Application Style and Color Scheme on Windows SUMMARY In Kdenlive 25.12.0 on Windows, the menu bar background and text colors are rendered incorrectly depending on the combination of Application Style and Color Scheme. With certain combinations, the menu bar text has very low contrast against the background, making the menu unreadable. Specifically, when Settings → Application Style is set to Windows (Windows 11 style) and Settings → Color Scheme is set to Breeze Dark, the menu bar background follows the light Windows style while the menu text color follows the dark color scheme. The issue occurs consistently and is reproducible every time with this configuration. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch Kdenlive 25.12.0 on Windows with the default settings(Color Scheme: Breeze Classic, Application Style: Default). 2. Open Settings > Application Style and set it to Windows. 3. Open Settings > Color Scheme and set it to Breeze Dark. OBSERVED RESULT The menu bar background is rendered using the light Windows application style, while the menu bar text color is taken from the selected dark color scheme. As a result, the text is displayed with very low contrast against the light background, making the menu bar difficult or impossible to read. This behavior is clearly visible in the attached screenshot. EXPECTED RESULT The menu bar should use a consistent and unified color palette. Both background and text colors should be derived from the same application style or color scheme, ensuring sufficient contrast and proper readability regardless of the selected combination. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Windows 11 25H2(26200.7462), Windows 10 22H2(19054.6466) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The issue appears to affect only the menu bar; other UI elements respect the color scheme correctly.
