Description dougblack85 2026-01-13 00:17:20 UTC
SUMMARY
The "auto playlist" feature does not populate, nor does the app recognize files manually added to the playlist. This seemed to work fine up until about 2 months ago.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click and drag files into Haruna's playlist.
2. Add files into Haruna using the in-app UI.
3. Open a video file in a folder with multiple video files.

OBSERVED RESULT
The playlist shall not populate in any of the above cases.

EXPECTED RESULT
The playlist should populate.

Where are you droping the file, only when you drop it on the "Play Now" area will other files in the folder be loaded
When you drop on the"Add to playlist" area only the dropped files are added

If you mean the "File Menu > Open File" action or the "Open File" button in the toolbar those work

Works

Is the setting "Auto load videos from same folder" in Playlist settings enabled?

If you use the flatpak version check your permissions,
you can use https://flathub.org/en/apps/com.github.tchx84.Flatseal to reset them to default.

Hi, thank you for the reply!

I have confirmed that the "auto load videos from same folder" setting is
checked. I have tried toggling it off and on.

I had default permissions set, confirmed with Flatseal.

I do have my /home directory on a separate partition, that is the only
thing that I can think of changing between playlists working and not.

Appreciate any further ideas.
