SUMMARY
Ark allows extracting a file larger than 4GiB on fat32 filesystems, it stops actually writing (I think?) after 4GiB, but keeps going.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open an archive containing a file larger than 4GiB
2. Attempt to extract said file on a fat32 filesystem

OBSERVED RESULT
It starts extracting but seems to be stuck after it reaches 4GiB, keeps on "Extracting one file"

EXPECTED RESULT
It either shouldn't allow extracting, or error out at 4GiB

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: 6.18.3-arch1-1 (64-bit)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.21.0
Qt Version: 6.10.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Briella Bugs 2026-01-10 01:53:33 UTC
After leaving it running for like 15 minutes after reaching the 4GiB mark, it finally errored out
