screencast of skanpage not being able to change it

SUMMARY
For my specific scanner (my other (those are network printers) don't have this problem) I can't seem to change the paper/scan size

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Skanpage with ScanSnap IX1400 connected
2. Select it
3. try to change the page size or scan size.
Neither of which change.
Arrows keys don't change it, clicking the arrow keys don't work. typing in the field doesn't work.

The scanner is indeed capable of scannig very long documents but I should be able to just select the page/scan size.
I tested with Skanlite and other scan apps and it doesn't have these issues.
