SUMMARY

Subtitle split tool is no longer (25.12.0) working on Linux (Debian stable) , either Appimage or Flatpak releases. And reportedly on windows too with the nightly version.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Open a new project.
2. Create a subtitle clip with two lines of text.
3. Set the cursor on the timeline where you want the split to be.
4. Set the cursor on the subtitle editor in the part of the text you want it to split.
5. Press the scissor button

OBSERVED RESULT

Nothing happens.
