DrKonqi auto-attaching complete backtrace.
Comment 2 Allen Winter 2026-01-08 11:22:32 UTC
I just got that too this morning in my self-compiled kontact in the master branch.
then I restarted and it worked ok.

I don't see anything KDE PIM specific in the backtrace.

so far its a mystery.
Comment 3 Allen Winter 2026-01-08 11:22:51 UTC
this is Fedora 43, btw
Comment 4 Don Curtis 2026-01-08 12:38:31 UTC
Yes, I'm basically using openSUSE Leap 16.0 but, I've moved the KDE Plasma 6 to the openSUSE KDE Release Gear repositories.
Therefore, not the KDE Plasma version which openSUSE ships by default.
Comment 5 Albert Astals Cid 2026-01-08 23:24:54 UTC
No mistery, this is just a Qt bug.

https://qt-project.atlassian.net/browse/QTBUG-142720
Comment 6 Allen Winter 2026-01-09 11:23:38 UTC
ok, and that bug says "CLOSED" and "FIXED"
Comment 7 Don Curtis 2026-01-09 15:17:27 UTC
There was an openSUSE update this morning for 283 packages in the KDE Gear repository.
It seems to have resolved this issue …

libmarblewidget-qt6-28
libkdcraw-qt6
libkexiv2-qt6
were updated.

Looking at the Qt bug, this machine may well have provoked the issue:
