SUMMARY A minor issue. With changes for bug 513187 and bug 513754 the Account “Show Balance Chart” “Absolute Limit” Line Value is initially displaying as expected. Thank-you. However, if the "Configure report" button is used and the "Chart Palette" is changed from the default "Use application setting", the chart display changes (not just the colours as expected). For instance the "Absolute Limit" line value is no longer displayed. It is not possible to get back to the original chart display by reverting the "Chart Palette" to its original "Use application setting", or any of the other settings. All is as expected if you close the chart and then reopen it, I note that the modified chart display has a legend for "Actual" and "Forecast", which could be potentially useful to have as an option on the original default chart display. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. From an account ledger display use the “Show Balance Chart” button 2. Use the "Configure report" button and change the "Chart Palette" to a different option OBSERVED RESULT The actual data displayed changes, there is no “Absolute Limit” Line Value EXPECTED RESULT Only the chart colours should change SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Observed on Windows 10. Observed on Ubuntu using AppImage file "kmymoney-5.2-5096-linux-gcc-x86_64.AppImage" ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have noticed that issue also occurs if you change any other chart option, such as the “Line Width”, “Draw values on chart” etc. I will attach a PDF of some screenshots. My suggestion is the “Show Balance Chart” should always show: 1. An “Absolute Limit” line 2. A “Legend” independent of which “Chart Palette” and other chart options are used. So the plot would look something like the final "suggested" plot I have included in the attached PDF.
