Concept Art.

DESCRIPTION
I don't like the visually obstructive (and apparently physically obstructive) desktop tooltips that appears when hovering over items. I'd like to be able to select Dolphin's tooltips, since they're very discrete.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Slowly hover over desktop items.

OBSERVED RESULT
Tooltips are visually obstructive, and not my style.

EXPECTED RESULT
Being able to choose Dolphin's tooltips (see attachment).

I don't see us doing this, sorry. What Dolphin has is a status bar, not a tooltip. A status bar is a fairly standard UI element on a window, but on the desktop I think it would feel quite out of place, and people would fail to notice it.
