Created attachment 188267 [details] bright theme with blue accent color in title bar SUMMARY: Th default Breeze bright/dark color schemes do not highlight active windows noticeably, they just get a *slightly* different shade of grey. Suggestion: Change the default bright/dark themes to have an accent color and to use this to color the title bars of active windows. Like shown in the attachment. This makes it far easier to find an active window with both dark and bright schemes. Also, let users specify which color scheme should be used as a bright and dark theme when automatic day/night theme change is activated. Currently, this works only with the default two themes (as far as I can tell). Operating System: KDE neon User Edition KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.21.0 Qt Version: 6.10.1 Kernel Version: 6.14.0-37-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (30.6 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics

Currently, this works only with the default two themes (as far as I can tell). You can control this in System Settings: Quick Settings, by pressing the dropdown arrow next to the theme. You'll get a dropdown menu of the available dark or light themes Or in Global themes, by clicking the theme icon - it'll show a page with the available menus.
Thanks - but I meant color schemes, not system themes. For example for the automatic day/night rotation I'd like to use "Breeze" with my custom color scheme and "Breeze Dark" also with an adjusted color scheme. Is this possible? I couldn't find it.
(In reply to Jens from comment #3) > Is this possible? I couldn't find it. No, you can only choose global themes. But in 6.6, you'll be able to save your current configuration as a global theme directly from the theme selector, so you can put it the way you want it and easily save that, then set it as the option to switch to. (You can already make a global theme yourself in 6.5 and earlier, but it's a bit more involved, so it's much easier in 6.6)
Thank you! Then I'll wait for 6.6, looking forward to it 🙂
Yep, this is pretty much the solution we agreed to in https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-desktop/-/issues/78. Someone just needs to do it and hammer out the inevitable bugs that it exposes. Note that doing this would highlight the difference between SSD-using apps and CSD_using apps, because the CSD-using apps would not change their colors in the same way. So it might actually be a slightly worse solution for people using a lot of CSD apps. But we'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it.
