Nextcloud file-selection dialog

I'd like to create a stored search which includes (or excludes) certain albums and all their sub-albums.

The problem with the recommended workflow (right-click on the album, "Select" -> "Children") is that if new sub-albums are added, the search needs to be manually updated to find them. This is most noticeable with phone uploads grouped into year/month folders, but could be an issue in almost any workflow that includes a saved search as the first step in identifying uncategorized/untagged photos after saving them.

I would prefer if the tree selection box worked like similar file selection tools - I've attached a screenshot of the Nextcloud file sync selection tree - selecting a folder automatically includes its children (including children that don't exist yet), and if you only want a subset of the children you select them manually, and the parent checkbox shows a different symbol indicating that.

Alternatively, an "Include Sub-albums" checkbox next to the album selection drop-down in the search tool would solve my use-case, and more clearly communicate the default behavior (i.e. that sub-albums aren't included by default).
