Created attachment 188116 [details] A screenshot of the issue SUMMARY Release notes for certain software can overlap into the scrollbar area. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Be running openSUSE Tumbleweed when an update for system package "yazi" is available 2. Run Discover 3. Click Updates 4. Click on System upgrade to expand it 5. Click on More Information 6. Scroll down to see "yazi" OBSERVED RESULT The release notes for yazi overlap into the scrollbar. EXPECTED RESULT The release notes for yazi do not overlap into the scrollbar - e.g. they should word wrap (ideally), or horizontal scrolling should be enabled, or each line should be elided before hitting the scrollbar. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20251228 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.21.0 Qt Version: 6.10.1 Kernel Version: 6.18.2-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It's possible that the release notes format for "yazi" is not in a good format. The source for the text is at https://build.opensuse.org/projects/openSUSE:Factory/packages/yazi/files/yazi.spec?expand=1 I think. It looks like the indented part is being treated as pre-formatted text. Nonetheless, I would expect Discover to handle this strange input in a better way (ideally wrapping it), and certainly not printing the text over the scrollbar area.
Yep, this is definitely a problem with the source formatting. Discover can do a better job of handling it, though.
Yeah, it seems to me that at the very least (i.e. even if it just gets chopped off) it shouldn't be drawn over the scrollbar. I didn't even think that was possible!
