Created attachment 188093 [details] The error described from the OBSERVED RESULT section, as shown on desktop Linux. *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Please remove this comment after reading and before submitting - thanks! *** SUMMARY I am trying to set up Tokodon on my new phone but noticed that it just... doesn't want to work with the instance I use. It does not accept automatically returning to the app after authorising and if I provide an authorisation token, the app enters a buggy state where I am both logged in and not logged in. I initially thought this was an Android-only issue but it also occurs on my CachyOS-running Steam Deck. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have an account on a misskey (or derivative) based instance 2. Attempt to login and/or provide an auth token. OBSERVED RESULT PC: Failed to contact server: Host requires authentication. Please check your settings. Android: No visible error. Nothing works on either, although Android specifically stays on the "Authorization" screen (at least graphically, the buttons seem to be properly gone functionally) while Linux continues to the home view. EXPECTED RESULT Works on both. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Android: 15, 6.1.112-android14-11-gde436e940319-ab13241938 #1 Wed Mar 19 16:54:52 UTC 2025 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0 Qt Version: 6.9.3 Linux: CachyOS Rolling KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.21.0 Qt Version: 6.10.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Android using the latest version of Tokodon available from the KDE nightly repo for f-droid, CachyOS using latest stable release as available from the CachyOS/Arch Linux repos.
CORRECTION: The description I gave about the weird android-specific issue in OBSERVED RESULT is incorrect, the buttons and elements DO still exist.
