The problem

KDE/Wayland.

Steps to reproduce:
- have anything copied to clipboard. That may be an image, or a file from Dolphin.
- Run GTK-based application, Audacity 3.7 in this case (still not moved to QT).
- Open any audio file in Audacity, select some audio and press Ctrl-C (or Meta-C, or whatever hotkey you have for copy)
- Notice nothing is copied to clipboard.

Now open the clipboard widget and empty clipboard contents by clicking the trashcan icon. Try copying the selection from Audacity again, and now it gets copied into clipboard.

I have clipboard history set to 1 if that matters.

Can you reproduce the issue with either default clipboard settings, or in a new clean user account on the same computer with no customization?
