SUMMARY I have Dolphin's status bar set to "Full width", so it shows a bar on the right side, with the free space in the partition where the currently-displayed folder is, however... If I go into a folder "A" in my home partition, and it displays, say, "500.0 GiB free", but then I enter a symlinked folder "B" that points to /mnt/seconddisk/, where a different drive is mounted with 10 GiB free, the status bar will still say "500 GiB free". If then I go into folder "C" inside folder "B", the count will update correctly to 10 GiB. If then I go up one level, back to "B", the count will still be "10 GiB free", which at this point is correct. If I go up another level, back to "B", the count will update correctly to "500.0 GiB free". So, to try to clarify the setup in the example: - The OS and /home are on /dev/sda1, with 500 GiB free. - A secondary HDD partition /dev/sdb1 mounted on /mnt/seconddisk/ with "10 GiB free". - Open Dolphin starting in /home/user/, reads "500 GiB free". - Go into /home/user/A/, still correctly "500 GiB free". - Go into /home/user/A/B/ with "B" being a symlink to /mnt/seconddisk/CoolFolder/, free space still appears as "500 GiB free", even though we're now browsing inside /dev/sdb1, and should read "10 GiB free". Pressing F5 to refresh the view does not update the free space either. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch Dolphin, go to home folder. 2. Go to example folder A. 3. Go to example folder B, which is a symlink to another partition, free space does not update. OBSERVED RESULT Free space does not match the partition being "entered". EXPECTED RESULT Free space should match the partition where the symlinked folder we just entered is located. Ooops, small typo, where I said: > If I go up another level, back to "B", the count will update correctly to "500.0 GiB free". I meant: > If I go up another level, back to "A", the count will update correctly to "500.0 GiB free".
