Created attachment 187963 [details] A vertical touchpad gesture stutters if performed immediately after a workspace switch swipe. Vertical touchpad gestures (e.g. swipe up for Overview) stutter or briefly mis-trigger a horizontal movement when performed immediately after a workspace-switch swipe. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use Plasma Wayland with default touchpad gestures enabled. 2. Perform a horizontal workspace switch gesture (3/4-finger swipe left or right). 3. Immediately perform a vertical gesture (4-finger swipe up/down). OBSERVED RESULT The desktop stutters (tries to move right/left). EXPECTED RESULT The vertical gesture should be recognized cleanly with no horizontal movement or stutter. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 43 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.21.0 Qt Version: 6.10.1 This issue doesn't occur in plasma 6.4.5 RELATED REPORTS - https://discuss.kde.org/t/workspace-slide-animation-stutters-when-trying-to-open-overview-4-finger-swipe-up/41873 - https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/1p171uu/
This should be fixed in Plasma 6.6 where a substantial improvement was made to the smoothness of opening this KWin effect.
