It would help the non-German speaking part of the community to post it in English and therefore widen the pool of possible supporters. To your first issue: Kdenlive is assigned to open .kdenlive project files from a file manager. Once a project is opened you can add video files to it. The main task of a video editor is to work with multiple video files at the same time, arranging them in a timeline, make cuts, apply effects, and composite clips to create a video. Playing back videos in the clip or project monitor is of course required but not the main purpose. Therefore, trying to open a video file directly in Kdenlive from a file manager doesn't make sense: Kdenlive is not a media player per se. Also, it would require a few settings/decisions to be made before a video file could be added to a (new) project. This is the user's task to be done when opening Kdenlive. To your second issue of missing updates in Linux: The Kdenlive team provides Flatpak via Flathub and an appimage that you can download and run. If the maintainers of a distro want to offer Kdenlive in their own repositories/app store/SW manager, they can do so and package it as needed for them. This is completely outside of our control from a timing and content point of view. Please discuss this with the maintainers of the distro you are using.

DAS ist leider NICHT Möglich da sich die Herrschafften Nicht dazu Herablassen sich mit dem User Auseinander zu setzten was Bugs und Co Betrifft, man ist ja was Besseres. Inzwischen wurde kdenlive ja über die Anwendungsverwaltung in Linux Mint auf die 25er Version aktualisier und oh Wunder, nun Funktioniert es auf einmal wenn ich ein Videofile Anklicke und sage öffene Mit Kdenlive und Schwupps ist es in kdenlive Geöffnet. Soviel zu Ihrer Aussage ne ne das geht nicht weil...... Zum Thema App Image sage ich mal lieber nichts davon halte ich Absolut NICHTS. Der Entwickler einer Software ist dafür Verantwortlich seine Software immer auf den Aktuellsten Stand zu haben und sie auch dementsprechend auf seiner Seite unter der Download Abteilung Bereit zuu stellen, is nen ganz Einfaches Ding.
