SUMMARY Pressing the "Del" key multiple times does not move multiple files to trash. I use Fedora KDE, so I jumped straight from 25.08 to 25.12, so I don't know when the bug appeared but I know that it's still here thanks to the nightly flatpaks (26.03). In 25.08 when I pressed Del 5 times, it would move 5 files to trash, it was super convenient (especially as a student for which the teachers send a lot of temporary files). Since updating to 25.12, the second "Del" key press does not move the second file to trash but enters selection mode. I understand there has been recent discussion both about file deletion and this change on the forum, this isn't about Shift+Del behaviour or deleting files (I have tried to make my wording clear, my apologies if it isn't). I also understand that the recent rise in Linux users calls for a need to protect them from mistakes. But this isn't about file deletion, this is about moving files to trash, so I believe this to be a bug, as the discussion was about file deletion and this report is about moving to trash. I would love to see this fixed, either directly or by giving us the option in dolphin. Also, and I think this might be related, searching in dolphin settings does not jump to the second search result when pressing enter a second time (and so forth). Thank you for the amazing software! STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a folder containing more than 1 file 2. Press Del 3. File gets moved to trash 4. Press Del a second time OBSERVED RESULT Selection mode opens EXPECTED RESULT Second file gets moved to trash SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora KDE Plasma Edition KDE Plasma Version: Kde 6.5.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.21 Qt Version: 6.10.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
