I often want to zoom in on am image to see it in greater detail like I can do in darktable. When the cursor is on the full screen photo, the scroll wheel doesn't appear to do anything, so it seems this would be reasonably easy to implement. SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. Created attachment 187815 [details] attachment-3078321-0.html I see preview image can zoom in using Ctrl+Scroll, but not full screen, where I spend most of my digiKam time. I didn’t see the duplicates address full screen view, but am finding it hard to navigate the site On Sat, Dec 20, 2025, at 10:59, Maik Qualmann wrote: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=513611 > > --- Comment #2 from Maik Qualmann <metzpinguin@gmail.com> --- > See also Bug 511842 > > Maik > > -- > You are receiving this mail because: > You reported the bug.
The slideshow fullscreen view has no zoom; it loads speed-optimized images to fit the screen size (see Bug 276480). You can put the digiKam main window into fullscreen mode and configure which sidebars should be hidden. Maik
The lack of zoom ability on full screen views is the point I'm trying to request. I want to be able to zoom in on photo details in full screen views, where I spend my time with digiKam. I'll have to use previews now that I know about their ability to zoom in and out.
