SUMMARY KDE Connect Android Remote Input inserts double spaces when using CodeBoard Keyboard STEPS TO REPRODUCE Install CodeBoard Keyboard for Coding on an Android device Pair the Android device with a PC using KDE Connect Open Remote Input from the KDE Connect Android app Type any text using the space bar OBSERVED RESULT Each press of the space bar inserts two spaces instead of one when typing via Remote Input. Typing directly on the Android device (not using Remote Input) inserts only a single space. EXPECTED RESULT Each press of the space bar should insert exactly one space, regardless of the keyboard used. SOFTWARE / OS VERSIONS Android version: Android 12 Phone model: Samsung Galaxy A21s KDE Connect Android version: from Play Store Keyboard used: CodeBoard Keyboard for Coding ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The issue occurs only when using KDE Connect Remote Input The issue does not occur when typing locally on the phone The issue does not occur when using simpler keyboards (e.g. Samsung Keyboard or Gboard) This suggests KDE Connect may be duplicating space key events when interacting with certain smart/coding keyboards Samsung account and system keyboard settings do not affect the issue
