STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Have a touchpad that causes a "phantom second click"

OBSERVED RESULT
There's no way of avoiding it.

EXPECTED RESULT
There should be a way of increasing the milliseconds necessary to a second click, from 0ms to 1sec.

This is something you need to report to Libinput, a that's the level where this can be worked around.
