SUMMARY While attempting to install kde-builder on a Debian-derived distribution (Kali Linux) using the initial_setup.sh script, I encountered the following warning: Warning: Unsupported OS: kali, skipping installation of runtime packages. Kali Linux is Debian-based and, in practice, closely aligned with Debian. I was able to complete the installation by modifying the script to treat kali the same as debian. Would it be appropriate to update the script to allow certain Debian-derived distributions, such as Kali Linux? Otherwise, users may be required to switch operating systems in order to develop or test KDE applications, despite using a compatible Debian-based environment.
It looks like kde-builder tracks its bugs on GitLab. Would you mind filing your issue at https://invent.kde.org/sdk/kde-builder/-/issues instead? Thanks!

Thanks, I have moved the issue to gitlab (https://invent.kde.org/sdk/kde-builder/-/issues?show=eyJpaWQiOiIxODgiLCJmdWxsX3BhdGgiOiJzZGsva2RlLWJ1aWxkZXIiLCJpZCI6NTA3NTV9) I had previously looked at gitlab issues but it said to post all bugs and issues here on bugs.kde.org. Nevertheless, I have moved the issue there.
