Description Yi Yang 2025-12-14 15:43:39 UTC
SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add lastImageSaveAsLocation=file://somewhere
2. open spectacle, save-as, the dialog goes to `somewhere`
3. save the screenshot to `elsewhere`
4. open spectacle again, save-as

OBSERVED RESULT
the dialog *still* goes to `somewhere`

EXPECTED RESULT
the dialog *still* goes to `elsewhere`

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The current version of spectacle always saves the save path to `lastImageSaveLocation`, but it still respects recorded `lastImageSaveAsLocation`, causing the unexpected behavior described above.

At least one different user encountered a similar situation on discourse:

Comment 1 Yi Yang 2025-12-14 15:44:26 UTC
The "still" in "expected result" is bogus and resulted from my copy-pasting, ignore it.

I apologize.

I did look at the "similar issues" list and did not find the other bug though -- will manually search next time.
