I start kdenlive, drop a video into the timeline, expand "Color and Image Correction" from the pane on the left and double-click "Bezier Curves". The settings pane for the curves appears to the right but the interface is now unresponsive and kdenlive crashes seconds later.

Can confirm that using Manjaro as OS. Even opening old projects using the bezier curve filter lead to a non responsive KDElive which is crashing after a short amount of time.

yes, still crashing even on version 25.12.0, doesn't happens on 25.08

Thank you for reporting.
Crash confirmed. It affects all platforms and is related to a Frei0r change in Oct-2025.
Analysis of the crash is ongoing.

This is a hard crash that I also can reproduce. I tried locating the upstream ticket and found:

This should be fixed with this commit: https://github.com/dyne/frei0r/commit/74edaeb1b69081017f0c80dd4cebac15cf375e62
