This is feature request for **dynamic window tiling** native to KWin. For now I am using Kronkhite, which is OK, but it's nowhere near native solutions like Hyprland (although it is a WM only). I think KDE Plasma with it's fantastic potential can fill the growing niche for people who love consistency of desktop environment and functionality and flexibility of tiling window manager. I know Plasma does offer some tiling functionality, but it is very limited, so options offered by WMs like DWM or Hyprland would be absolute game changer for many people who don't want to use WMs and figure out how to connect random building blocks together, but would rather stay in consistent desktop experience with all the great things tiling gives. Thanks!

Closed 2 older bugs as duplicate of this one, couldn't find one in the past that was closed/resolved which I'm sure these are multiple so I decided to have this one as main since it's the newest. I think the stance on this is won't do if I remember correctly, but I'll leave this to kwin devs. I would personally like to se this built into kwin natively, not just with plugins like Krohnkite.

Yes, that's generally the case. Fixing this up.

Yeah, that is the rule. I just pushed this one as main so it's more visible because the oldest one is 2 years old still in reported state so probably harder to find, but that might be just a me problem. Other way around works too.
