Check settings ✔ Folders, Tabs, and window state from last time. 3. `~`, right click and rename to 'MyHome' 2. Close Dolphin 3. Start Dolphin OBSERVED RESULT Tabs renamed reverted to original state. EXPECTED RESULT Renamed tabs should preserve edited names. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0 Qt Version: 6.10.1 Kernel Version: 6.18.0-1-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics Memory: 17 GB of RAM (16.1 GB usable) Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Also reported for previous version of Dolphin in thread: https://discuss.kde.org/t/dolphin-does-not-remember-renaming-tabs-can-you-reproduce/42447
Interesting is that per the linked thread, 25.04.3 - issue 25.08.1 - no issue 25.08.3-1 - issue (sorted from oldest to newest version) ---- My steps to reproduce the issue, after Dolphin is set to remember previous state after starting: Right click any tab, rename, close Dolphin, Start Dolphin, tabs has original name, not mine used during renaming.
I have this problem too in 25.4.3 nad have found that renaming is partially preserved, but in a weird way, try to go one level up in a tab you have renamed in a previous Dophin session, it changes ta name from default one to what you have renamed in prev. session. When i go back, the renaming is preserved, but on next app close and start, it is lost again, until you navigate in that tab into a different folder..

I cannot reproduce this issue on Dolphin 25.12.1. Can you maybe update to the current version?
